My guest this week is Katie Galetti. Katie is a singer, a painter, a nerd in the most wonderful sense of the word, and the Artistic Director of Janus Concert Series. She is also a fierce advocate for social justice, asking tough questions of professional theatre and opera (and, frankly, the world). She and I have had many a hard conversation, and I have grown as a person through knowing her. She’s also just a delight to be around, and a kindred spirit. Today, we talk about the complexities of fantasy novels, death and human fragility, an enraging experience we shared at a contemporary art museum, and the challenge of living fiercely while staying soft.
